Rutherford College Careers Expo

For the second year, on Thursday, the 15th of August 2024, our department participated in the College’s Careers Expo. Rutherford College students and their whānau had the opportunity to meet with Terri Wright, Sang-A Yoon and Ramona Toth, who briefly presented our educational programme during the day, evening, and weekends. One of the most appealing course categories was the Literacy, Employment and Hospitality courses. These classes offer the students the opportunity to gain NZQA Level 2 credits and also to gain a “stepping stone” on their future careers.

Woodturning – Father’s Father-Themed Workshop

Our department introduced a six-hour Woodturning Workshop on August 31st from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Participants will learn the basic skills of woodturning and making wooden pens at this workshop. These pens make the perfect gift for a father or a grandad.
