Aladdin

I had the pleasure of attending Aladdin the Junior Production this week. It was an outstanding performance, thoroughly enjoyable and I was thrilled to see the students present to their whanau with such enthusiasm. Thank you to Miss Wilson and the wider team of performing arts teachers, costume designers, set design, lighting and sound for pulling the show together over a very short period of time. It was a real team effort and I appreciate all the extra effort staff put in to make it happen. And well done to the students who were involved front of stage and back stage. Your hard work showed as much as your delight for what you were doing on stage.

Wider Living Week acknowledgement

Thank you to Ms Power for all her organization in getting our Year 9 and 10 students out to Parakai and Rainbows End over two days. It was an amazing job on her part to create the opportunity for everyone to get involved. Thanks also to all the other staff who helped out.

At Rutherford we understand we never compare ourselves to the best others can be, always be the best you can be. In other words, ‘Tohea’ - strive for personal excellence.

As we head into Xmas, we should remind ourselves that, At Rutherford we value little acts of human kindness. Nothing carries more potential for change in society than individual acts of human kindness.
