Celebrating Brothers Success
On Sunday, March 17th, Blair and Cameron Deo participated in a regional round-robin kata tournament as part of their preparation for the World Cup in August. Cameron filled in as a substitute for the third member of Blair's team in the team kata event, despite only having two morning practices. Surprisingly, the team managed to win the silver medal.
In the individual competition, Cameron performed exceptionally well and secured third place, earning a bronze medal in a highly competitive division where boys and girls competed together. Blair also had a commendable performance and finished fourth in his individual category, narrowly missing out on a higher placement in an equally challenging division.
These achievements are truly remarkable considering the circumstances. Now, both Cameron and Blair are preparing themselves for a busy year filled with tournaments. Their next challenge is scheduled against South Auckland on April 7th. We send our best wishes to the boys for their upcoming competition.
