Sports Awards 2024

Sports Awards 2024

An evening of celebrating the best in sport

On Friday, 18th October, the Sports Department proudly hosted our annual School Sports Awards, celebrating the dedication and achievements of our students in sports throughout the year.

With over 300 attendees, award recipients were joined by friends and family to mark this special occasion.  Cameron Gliddon was our guest speaker for the night, and his speech, sharing both the highs and lows of professional sports, was truly inspiring. Our students took away some very valuable lessons from Cam and his journey in sport. A big thank you to Cam for delivering such an incredible speech and for staying to present the trophies and certificates to our athletes.

Some of the night’s most prestigious awards went to these very deserving athletes:

 •    Team of the Year – 1st XI Boys Football Team

 •    Junior Sportswoman of the Year – Kate Wilcox

 •    Junior Sportsman of the Year – Jackson Muller

•    Senior Sportswoman of the Year – Amy Thomson

•    Senior Sportsman of the Year – Timon Boyack

•    Dux Ludorum – Daniel Lipsham

We were also happy to announce our 2025 Sports Captains, massive congratulations to Dylan Chapman and Chloe Ellis. We are looking forward to having you both and excited for another great year of sport! We extend a heartfelt thank you to our Director of Sport, Gill, for organizing such an outstanding event, to Mr. Matai’a for being an exceptional MC, Loren Taylor and her team at Events Creative, and our sports committee for their invaluable support.

Thank you to all our staff, coaches, parents and volunteers who helped during the year, without you we wouldn’t be able to provide the students with such great opportunities.  Congratulations to all award winners and to everyone who participated in team or individual sports this year.
