For the past couple weeks, Rutherford College has been collecting food items to help Fill the BLUES bus, a campaign run by the Blues rugby team to support families in need during the Christmas Season. A big thanks to all the students, families, and staff who chipped in for the food collection—it was awesome to see so many items going to support the wider community!
On Wednesday 4th December, nine students made their way to Blues HQ to drop off these donations. Mission accomplished! By the end of the day, the bus was packed full, thanks to donations from other schools and businesses too. It was a fun afternoon filled with different activities, such as touch rugby, water dunking machines and rugby skill challenges. Students also had the chance to meet members of the women’s and men’s Blues teams, watch the men’s training, collect signatures, and take some photos with the players.
A big shoutout to everyone who pitched in and supported this awesome cause—we really made a difference for our community this Christmas!
